Flag Dedication

One of the early priorities of the new Board of Directors of the Graceland Cemetery Association, Inc., was to erect a flagpole in the cemetery, not only to honor the deceased veterans buried there, but to honor America.

    This goal was fulfilled on November 9, 2003, at the flag dedication ceremonies.  The flag will fly every day over the cemetery.  Raising and lowering the flag will be the responsibility of the Boy Scouts of America.
